2009 Archery Season

Not surprisingly, the season is off to a pretty slow start so far. I guess the monsoon we had roll through opening day might have something to do with that. Now that it has all cleared off though, you have no excuse to not be out in the woods.

The very first deer of the season, and it is a buck! Now that is a good sign.
 
Ahhh yes, keep the big racks rolling in. Okay, so it isn't the largest set of antlers you have ever seen, but does it really matter? No matter how you cut it the 5 pointer he just got is bigger than the one you are going to get sitting in front of your computer.
 
It is a shame to think that we spend all of our money on scent killers, camo clothing and deer lures and then he goes and shoots this one in shorts and a t-shirt. Okay, so maybe that isn't really true, but it makes a good story, and really, that is the important thing.
