3rd Annual Handgun Demo Day

That's right, if you were waiting for the day to come and shoot some guns from lots of different manufacturers, you missed it!

This year we had authorized representatives from Smith & Wesson and Remington bring their wares to try out.

And a not-quite-so authorized representative showing Taurus, Beretta, Ruger, Kimber, Heritage, Armalite, Springfield, Glock and Uberti. It was a little tiring having to try and be a dozen people at once, but still was a good time.

As per usual we had a decent crows of enthusiastic participants who were more than happy to help us blow off a little ammo.

The Armalite and Smith & Wesson M4s were by far the most popular toys of the day.

Even among the staff.

As an added bonus, this year we got the other half of R & L up to the range to shoot. She had a good time trying out the Managed Recoil ammo from Remington. Now, I am not saying she is definitely geared up to go deer hunting or anything, but there is always hope.

Out Stretching my Legs, Again

This time, I took a little jaunt to Italy. One customer asked me why I would go there if there was nothing to hunt. I had to reply, "because I have never been, of course."

Of course, being a natural tourist I took the time to see all the "must sees" in Italy, including the Colloseum . . .

. . . and the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Michaelangelo's David in Florence . . .

. . . and the gondolla filled canals of Venice.

But I also had to hit the other highlights of the country that should never be missed under any circumstances. Like this ice cream bar named after a penguin. Very important sights I tell you.

I also spent some some time in the countryside of Tuscany. It is actually alot like home. Except they grow wine and olives instead of corn and cows, their cars are half the size of ours and they all talk a little bit funny. Other than that, very much like New England.

And of course, what kind of vacation would it be without taking the time to sit and watch the sunset over the canals of Venice. You ever notice that the sunsets while on vacation always seem a little bit more important than the ones while you are home? Hmmm, gotta be something to that.

And for this trip, I even had a little bit of company. No, not the lion. The girl. Though, the lion was nice, I liked the lion.
